James Elios, MBA, ChFC®, CLU®, AIF®
Founder & CEO | Wealth Advisor
I’m Jim, founder of Elios Financial Group.
Elios is an SEC Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) and Registered Representative of Private Client Services. As an independent financial advisor, I specialize in comprehensive financial planning and investment management.
I started Elios with one person in mind. You.
I’ve spent more than 30 years in the financial services industry, including retail banking with National City Bank in Cleveland and as a financial planner with Cleveland Financial Group/Lincoln Financial Advisors.
I love to help people understand the finance world. That’s why I speak frequently on financial planning issues, the economy, and financial markets. I’ve held workshops for companies, government organizations, non-profits, and charity organizations including the Social Security Administration. I’ve provided financial planning advice and guidance to many employees of local companies, such as Lincoln Electric, AT&T, Fairview Hospital/Cleveland Clinic, Sherwin Williams, and Progressive. I’m a past contributor to The Plain Dealer's “Ask the Expert” feature column. You may have seen me on local Cleveland media appearances including Action Channel 19 News and The Lannigan Show 105.7 WMJI. I’ve even completed a due diligence trip to Asia, including Singapore, Hong Kong, and China, to lecture students at Zhejiang University City College in Hangzhou, China.
I’m a proud graduate of Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) with a concentration in marketing and finance. I obtained my Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Baldwin Wallace College. I obtained the advanced financial designations, Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) ® and Charter Life Underwriter (CLU) from The American College in Bryn Mawr, PA. I am securities registered through FINRA and hold Series 24, 7, and 63 registrations.
When I’m not working, I reside in beautiful Avon Lake with my amazing wife, Solveig, and our 3 children. I’ve lived in the area for over 40 years (North Olmsted High alum) and don’t have any plans on leaving. This is my home.
